BaserCMS – Simple, but flexible CMS for quick corporation site developing

Category : Software

BaserCMS is written in PHP as an open source CMS software by a Japanese company Catch Up. As you may know, we have many popular CMS softwares options now. For example in US people, it would be “Drupal”. For Japanese people, it would be “xoops cube” or so. These versatile CMS are very useful for us to build various kinds of web site because they are designed as multi-purpose CMS, …but sometimes we need to waste the time to decide how to use them indeed.

BaserCMS is designed for people who are going to launch a corporation web site. I guess many people can feel “less is more” for this software. In addition to its simplicity, there’s enough room to be customized as CakePHP based software & we can extend the function by writing a plug-in.

It doesn’t have so much function just after the installation, but we can manage “users”, “news release”, “pages”, “contacts” & “feed(RSS)” immediately. Visitors will see the recent news topics at the top page with menu links for corporate guidance page, service page, contact form & site map page.

Actually, it seems enough for a simple corporation web site. Also, we can add a blog page anytime. And Google maps is on-the-go for company location page. About the back-end data base, you can choose MySQL, PostgreSQL or file base DB (like as sqlite or .csv).

Not only for corporation web site, BaserCMS will suit for the site of project or community site because the developer company Catch Up designed this software based on their wants as an experienced web site builder.
