MoSync SDK is an opensource software works under Windows/Mac OSX/Linux OS. There are so many mobile devices especially called “smart phone” with mobile OS like as Android, iPhone and Windows mobile. I guess programmers may worry about which platform they had better focusing on.

It’s one of the reasons that multi-platform code generator is getting popular. For JavaScript user, you may know the name “Titanium” or PhoneGap. And for C++ programmer, MoSync SDK would be the suitable option.

MoSync SDK can generate the application code for iPhone, Android, Windows Mobile(seems not for Windows Phone series), Symbian and Java ME based on common code with C++. In addition, this Eclipse based IDE can execute the code with its built-in emulator.

For Android OS, present MoSync can support upto Android 2.1. But we recommend you to take a lo0k its capability. Almost all of functions, like as sound, Keyboard input, Bluetooth, location, file handling, camera, vibration and native UI, are controllable with MoSync.

AIRNovel provides a framework for development a novel game (The software itself is coded in Japanese, but since there is no English introduction website for this software I thought I can give a shot.)

AIRNovel is made by Adobe Air, which means the software works on Windows / Max OSX / Linux and is open source. Novel games are good choice for story writers to make game without high defined graphics.

It gives a great advantage to people who launch Twitter client or who are absent for the meeting, but people who are there don’t seem to have any advantages when using the murmuring tool.

Scan Tailor is an open source software for Windows/Linux. I often hear that it’s quite possible to scan books and digitize data out of it. Usually preserving books would either deteriorate books through over years or take some extra space for keeping books. CDE packages environment and runs common binaries on different distributions.

CDE is OSS for Linux. In Linux world, it is thought as natural that we should download and compile source code  to run. Configure(s) and make(s) would absorb environment difference on various distributions and servers.

Wally is such a cool wallpaper changer supporting various Web services

Wally is an open source software for Windows/Mac OSX/Linux. It didn’t work in my environment, but it’s such a cool gadget so I wanted to share it (Just let me know if anybody has tried it and worked). As I have my software launched with full screen covering the whole screen, the wallpaper setting would be normally default or blue. But I want to try some other background themes sometimes.

I guess I could use one of my images as a wallpaper, but I know I get bored easily. If I have a wallpaper that changes regularly, that would be great. There is a software called Wally that provides changing a wallpaper and supports many of the outside Web service too.

dnsmap is an open source software for Mac OSX/Linux. Usually, when launching a new service,  get a new domain or subdomains are often separated. One of the methods to create a directory, they would somehow lacking in novelty.
