TweetBubbles is an freeware made by Adobe AIR. When we have a meeting or a study group, we often use Twitter as a murmuring tool for a better discussion. It gives a great advantage to people who launch Twitter client or who are absent for the meeting, but people who are there don’t seem to have any advantages when using the murmuring tool.

QFeeder is an free software for Mac OSX (10.6 or later) . Unfortunately there are only a few useful Twitter clients around. Personally I’d like to use “Bluebird” often, but I’m always looking for a better software. Because there are too many softwares already out there, it changes the effect of its usability of the software. You should try and see which software is best for you.

Side-Favotter-2 is a software for Safari5 (source code is already established). You’ve probably already seen some new designs applied for Twitter. One of the designs that differed from before is that they offered a more dynamic way to use a information such as displaying images or videos in the right pane.

Dabr as an alternative access way for twitter users

Dabr is one of the web clients for “twitter.com” useful for mobile devices.

The name “Dabr” is the web service itself held in dabr.co.uk in one hand, but on the other hand, it’s a name of the open source project with totally similar function as you can get in that web service.

This software is written in PHP. To complete the installation on your own web server, you need to register it as your client in twitter.com after putting all of source code from google Code.

Next, you’ll see oAuth authentication request on your Dabr. But once you finished the oAuth accept, you can access twitter.com from the interface of Dabr via twitter’s web API.
(Formerly, we could choose both of digest certification & oAuth access on Dabr. But twitter.com closed their digest certification system recently. So we need to use oAuth system anyway.)

tr.im’s source finally open

tr.im is a URL shortener software written in Ruby on Rails, and its source is now open. URL shortener requires so simply system and may be useful on microblogging services, including the most successful site twitter, that quite a few similar shortener sprang like mushrooms. tr.im was not a minor one, but announced closing August 2009, after failed to monetize.

That announcement was withdrawn few days later, with promise of opening its source. It has been half-way done. They opened its source without a license.
